The Strait & Narrow has been slinging drinks at the top of Lincoln High Street since 2012 — and apparently we still haven’t got bored of it.
We’re an independent cocktail bar in Lincoln with one fairly simple mission: put a bloody good drink in your hand.
That might be one of our hundreds of beers, something brilliant from one of the brewers and distillers we work with, or a cocktail from a menu that we’ve probably spent an entirely unreasonable amount of time creating.
Our cocktail menu is packed with classics, twists and our own signature creations — including collaborations with some of our favourite Lincoln independent businesses. Because if there’s something brilliant being made locally, there’s a reasonable chance we’ll try to put it in a cocktail.
Everything is served by our award-winning S&N bartenders: lovely people, excellent at making drinks, questionable influence after midnight.
Ultimately, we’re not here to make drinking complicated.

There’s a landline on every table around the bar. There’s even one hidden inside the grandfather clock, because apparently at some point somebody suggested that and nobody had the good sense to say no.
Pick one up, dial another table and say hello.
Make friends. Tell jokes. Order them a drink. Attempt some wildly optimistic flirting.
Romance the pants off a complete stranger if you must.

Strait Up Cocktails is the creation of The Strait and Narrow, a multi award winning bar based in the heart of Lincoln. Taking everything we’ve learnt here, we threw caution to the wind in 2020 and launched our own Bottled Cocktails Range which you guessed it….. is Strait Up Cocktails. We want everyone to be able to enjoy bar quality cocktails without needing a masters in mixology. Our cocktails are designed to be the easiest cocktails you will ever make, just chill, shake and pour! It really is that simple.
